Ramayana -The Game of Life - Stand Strong
New Beginnings !
Happy 2018 everyone .
Standing in the first of the 12 chapters of the year 2018 , I find it rather inspiring to write the first post of the year about a book which narrates a story which is nothing but one of the greatest lessons for our life. What else could be a better way to begin the New year than sharing my thoughts about the Book titled Ramayana :The Game of Life - Stand Strong written by Subha Vilas .
Without wasting any second , let's get into the review .
Sugriva , a wonder monkey , is under constant attacks by his brother Vali ,who has snatched away his kingdom and everything dear to him . This book highlights one of the most misunderstood episodes of Ramayana - The Killing of Vali . This book narrates multiple background short stories that seem to be not directly related but every story gives the reader a clearer and a better idea about the numerous characters that are responsible for the birth of the main characters of this episode and eventually contribute for the main episode to take place . Basically , it's like tributaries flowing from far away lands come and join the river. These multiple short shorties narrated in the book are the events which silently convey a great message of how one person should lead his life and what shouldn't be done as humans.
The Author 's got a beautiful way of describing every character 's traits and moral values by describing their role and mind set in the event that takes place. It doesn't seem like he has taken some time out to individually describe the character using the right and appropriate adjectives but reader goes along with the flow of the story while getting a deeper insight about the character.
The Book gives an in depth understanding what made Rama kill Vali which is mostly assumed as a cowardly act on behalf on such a righteous person . This is more than just an episode but teaches life's greatest lessons .It brings out the relevance between those events and our day to day lives .
I really loved the footnotes that Author leaves us with for the better understanding about what has been highlighted in that particular page .It definitely give us better and newer perspective of life and ways of it .
My rating for the book - 4/5
